Another batch of projects from my juniors. They had to select an essential question pertaining to To Kill a Mockingbird, and respond to it in a hands-on way. One student created a 3-D printout of the courtroom.

Recommended by a former student. Can’t wait to start reading this book.

I am super-excited about this new TpT activity I created!! Students analyze any character or person by creating a mandala using pattern blocks. After, students write an essay explaining the symbolism in the mandala. This is a challenging, interdisciplinary, hands-on activity that maximizes critical thinking. Link in my profile.

Most of the juniors are done with their To Kill a Mockingbird projects. They had to select an essential question and create a hands-on project showcasing their understanding of the question. There was a no technology restriction. As you can see in the first two images, one student actually created his own “PowerPoint “ by using an old computer monitor and making wooden slides 😆

To Kill a Mockingbird essential questions projects just about complete.

I am beyond pleased with how these Life of Pi projects turned out. Groups completed a poster and a passage relating to a particular motif in the novel.

Mandalas are so beautiful and mysterious. They can signify a journey, a search for completeness, or self-unity. I am super-excited about this new TpT activity I created!!
